CardMap is Australia's independent directory of trading card stores, vending machines, and TCG events. Verified retailers get a green-check badge, edit access to their listing, and customer trust signals — at no cost.
Names shown are listed in the directory and represent our community of verified retailers and operators. All trade marks are the property of their respective owners.
Search the directory for your store, vending machine, or event. Most active card retailers in Australia are already listed — no need to create a new one. If we missed you, submit your listing first.
Tap "Claim this store" on the listing. Verify with a business email matching your domain and a valid Australian Business Number (ABN). We cross-check both — Gmail/Yahoo claims aren't accepted.
Once verified, you get the green-check badge, edit access (hours, photos, contact details), and the ability to respond to reports. Customers see "Last confirmed: 2 hours ago" when you keep it fresh.
Green check on your listing tells customers you're claimed and managed by the actual business — not a community guess. Tap-through opens a transparency popover showing your verification date and last update.
Update hours, contact details, photos, opening hours, highlights, and stocked card games. Tap "Confirm details current" to refresh the timestamp — fresh listings rank higher and earn more taps.
CardMap users actively search for stores, vending machines, and events near them. Verified listings appear in "Near you, this week", earn restock-alert subscribers, and surface in fuzzy search even when customers misspell your name.
Verification and basic listing management are free, forever. Optional paid tiers unlock additional reach and data — indicative pricing only, final pricing depends on launch market response.
No payment until verified. All pricing is indicative and subject to change before public pricing launch. Free tier remains free permanently. Paid plans are billed monthly via Stripe — secure card payments in AUD, cancel anytime, GST invoice generated automatically.
Submit it via . Once approved (typically 24-48 hours), tap "Claim this store" on your new listing.
Email-domain verification is the simplest way to confirm you're authorised to claim a listing. If you only have a personal email (small/family-run stores), submit a Report with the listing name, your role, and proof of ABN ownership and we'll work with you manually. Or just email hello@cardmap.com.au directly.
We aim for 5 business days. Most claims are processed within 48 hours. Pro tier gets priority review with a 24-hour SLA.
Email us via the . We'll either transfer ownership to the new operator or remove the listing. Verified status doesn't transfer automatically — the new owner needs to re-claim with their own email and ABN.
Yes. Vending machine operators (Pop Attack, Card Bot, independents) can claim each machine listing the same way. Use the operator email and ABN — the same details cover every machine you run.
Yes — operators with multi-machine networks can request a bulk claim rather than claiming each machine individually. Email hello@cardmap.com.au with:
We'll verify in one pass and apply the verified badge to every machine in your network at the same time. After that you can edit hours, contact details, photos and confirm-current status across all machines from a single inbox. No extra cost — bulk claim is part of the free Verified tier.
No. CardMap is an independent community directory. We're not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any retailer, publisher, or trade mark holder. See sections 8 and 9 for our IP and authenticity policies.
For anything retailer-specific — bulk claims, custom verification flows, partnership enquiries, pricing questions — email hello@cardmap.com.au. We aim to reply within 2 business days. For general support you can also use the form.
It's free, takes 5 minutes, and helps Australian card hunters find your store first.
Placeholder text — to be replaced with lawyer-drafted Terms before launch. The structure below shows the clauses recommended for an Australian directory site.CardMap is operated by an Australian sole trader; the New Zealand view below highlights the rights New Zealand consumers retain. Have it reviewed by a New Zealand-qualified lawyer before launch.
CardMap is a service operated by Nicola O'Connell as a sole trader (ABN 69 645 585 412) (in this policy: "CardMap", "we", "us"). CardMap is an independent directory of locations across Australia where trading cards are sold. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any retailer, publisher, manufacturer, or trademark holder listed.
Listings are compiled from publicly available information. Stock, hours, pricing, and availability change frequently and without notice. Information on this site is provided "as is" for general guidance only. Always confirm details directly with the venue before travelling.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we make no representation or warranty about the accuracy, completeness, or currency of any listing. Your use of the site is at your own risk.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be lawfully excluded. If you are a consumer in New Zealand, nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights you have under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986 that cannot lawfully be excluded.
To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of CardMap is limited to AU$100NZ$100. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special losses.
You agree not to scrape, automate, or bulk-extract data from CardMap. You agree not to use the site to harass, defame, or mislead others.
7.1 Your warranties. By submitting a listing, photo, review, or any other content ("User Content"), you warrant that it is accurate to the best of your knowledge, that you own it or have the right to provide it, that it does not infringe any third party's rights, and that it is not defamatory, misleading, or unlawful. You indemnify CardMap against any claim arising from your User Content.
7.2 Content licence. You retain ownership of your User Content. By submitting it you grant CardMap a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt (for formatting/moderation), and display that content within the directory and its promotion. This licence ends when the content is removed, except for reasonable backup copies and where we must retain records for legal reasons.
7.3 Moderation. All submissions and claims are reviewed by a human before publication. We may edit for accuracy or formatting, decline, or remove any User Content at our discretion, particularly where it appears inaccurate, promotional, abusive, or unlawful. Publication is not an endorsement.
7.4 Accounts. If account features are offered, you must provide accurate registration details, keep your credentials secure, are responsible for activity under your account, and must be at least 16 years old (or have parent/guardian consent). We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms. You may close your account and request deletion of associated personal information at any time, subject to records we must retain by law.
7.5 Reviews & factual claims. If review features are offered, reviews must reflect genuine experience and be honest and fair. Allegations of fact about a business (for example that a retailer sold counterfeit goods) carry legal risk for the author under Australian defamation law and the Australian Consumer Law. Post only what you genuinely believe and can support; you — not CardMap — are responsible for content you post.
Counterfeit trading cards are a real and growing concern in Australia. Reports have surfaced of unbranded or unverified vending machines dispensing fake Pokémon and other TCG products, particularly in pop-up retail and unregulated outlets. CardMap cannot inspect, verify, or guarantee the authenticity of any product sold by any operator listed in this directory.
To reduce your risk:
If you believe you have purchased counterfeit cards, report it to the operator, to the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) via scamwatch.gov.au, and to the trade mark owner. You can also — we'll log it against the listing for moderation review and (with your permission) pass relevant details to the operator and any relevant regulator. CardMap accepts no liability for purchases made at any listed location.
All trade marks, registered trade marks, brand names, characters, and logos referenced on CardMap remain the property of their respective owners. CardMap's use of brand names is purely descriptive — to identify retailers, products, and games covered by listings — and does not imply any sponsorship, endorsement, partnership, or affiliation.
Trade marks acknowledged include but are not limited to:
The CardMap name, design, layout, and original editorial content are © Nicola O'Connell. Listing data may not be scraped, copied, or republished without permission.
10.1 Listing owners. Business owners can request removal or correction of any listing at any time via the report a listing form or by emailing hello@cardmap.com.au. We aim to acknowledge within 2 business days and action verified requests within 7 days.
10.2 Defamation, IP & unlawful-content complaints. If you believe User Content is defamatory, infringes your intellectual property, breaches the Australian Consumer Law, or is otherwise unlawful, email hello@cardmap.com.au with the subject "Takedown request" and include: (a) the listing or content URL/identifier, (b) what is wrong and why, and (c) your contact details. On receipt of a substantiated complaint we will, as a matter of priority, review the content and may remove or disable access to it pending resolution. We may share the substance of the complaint with the content's author and pass on a right of reply.
10.3 Counter-notice. If your content was removed and you believe that was wrong, you may respond with reasons and we will reconsider in good faith.
10.4 Our position. CardMap is a directory operator, not a publisher-of-record of user opinions. We act on reasonable complaints but do not adjudicate disputes between users and businesses, and nothing here is legal advice. We comply with valid AustralianNew Zealand and Australian legal process.
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the site means you accept the updated terms.
CardMap is operated by an Australian sole trader. These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that State. You may also ask us to delete personal information where we are not required to retain it.
We maintain a data-breach response plan. If we suffer an eligible data breach that is likely to result in serious harm, we will, in line with Part IIIC of the Privacy Act 1988, contain and assess the breach promptly, notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) as required, and set out the steps you can take in response.

Claimed and managed by the business owner.
The business owner has claimed this listing through CardMap's verification process — they provided a business email matching the store's domain and a valid Australian Business Number, both of which we cross-checked.
Owners can edit hours, contact details, photos, and respond to reports. They can also confirm the listing is current — when you see "Last confirmed" within the last few days, you can trust the details are fresh.
If you spot something inaccurate, please and we'll work with the owner to fix it.
Help others by adding a photo of this place. Every photo is reviewed by CardMap before it goes live — submitting sends it to us by email; it won't appear here until we've checked and approved it.
CardMap doesn't require an account — your activity is stored privately on this device. Server accounts (sync across devices) are coming. Below is everything saved here now.
Right now your profile and activity live only on this device. Passwordless sign-in (a one-tap email link) and Google sign-in are on the roadmap — they'll sync your saves, follows and submissions across phone and desktop, and let you build a contributor reputation. Set your profile now and it'll carry over.
Saved on this device. When server accounts launch these become real email/push alerts — set them now and they'll carry over.
Exports everything stored locally (saves, follows, submissions, preferences). Clearing is immediate and can't be undone — see the Privacy policy for what we store.
These update while you browse, based on your follows and saved listings. Push & email alerts (so we can reach you when the app is closed — "Prismatic Evolutions drops Friday, 6 stores near you") need a server and are on the roadmap. Set what you want in and it'll carry over.
CardMap exists because hunting Pokémon vending machines in Melbourne meant trawling Reddit threads, Facebook groups and half-broken store finders — there was no single list anywhere. So I built the directory I wanted to exist, and it grew into a list of every trading card store, vending machine, event and grading drop-off I could verify across Australia.
It's run by one person with help from the community. No venture funding, no algorithm deciding what you see, no ads pushed in your face. Listings are verified by hand and kept fresh by people who use it.
What CardMap is not: we don't sell cards, run events, grade cards, or take a cut of anything. We're an independent directory and we're not affiliated with any retailer, publisher or trade mark holder.
Spotted a missing store, a wrong detail, or a local hidden gem? — the directory is only as good as the people using it.
Guides to buying, hunting and collecting trading cards in Australia. New pieces added regularly — these are the kind of pages that bring people in from Google and the TCG Discords/Facebook groups.

CardMap is actively maintained. This log shows the most recent changes — we ship improvements regularly based on community feedback.
A while back I was trying to find Pokémon vending machines in Melbourne. I ended up with about fifteen tabs open — Reddit threads, Facebook groups, vague TikToks, half-broken store finders. Nobody had a real list. The information existed, but it was scattered across the entire internet.
So I started keeping one myself. Spreadsheet at first, then it grew. Friends started sending me listings. The list got long enough that it became its own thing — a directory of every trading card store, vending machine, event, and grading drop-off I could verify across Australia.
That's all this is. One place to find the hunt. No ads pushed in your face, no affiliate links, no algorithm deciding what you see. Just the listings, organised properly, kept fresh by the community.
If you spot a missing store, an inaccurate listing, or want to tell us about your local hidden gem — please do. The directory is only as good as the people using it.
CardMap is a community-built directory of Australian trading card stores, vending machines, online retailers, PSA grading drop-offs, and TCG events. We don't sell cards or run events — we help you find people who do.
No. CardMap is an independent directory. All brand names, logos, and trade marks shown are the property of their respective owners. CardMap is not endorsed by, sponsored by, or affiliated with any of the businesses listed.
Listings are compiled from public sources and community contributions. We try to keep them current but stock, hours and prices can change without notice. Always call ahead or check the store's website before travelling, especially for limited or rare stock.
Tap the heart icon in the top right of any listing to save it. Tap a state pill, then tap the heart on a suburb to follow it. To find these later, tap the heart in the header (next to the map icon) to open My Follows.
CardHunt lets you build a multi-stop card-shopping route. Tap "Add to CardHunt route" in any expanded listing, then open CardHunt from the header to see your route with travel times and a one-tap "Open in Google Maps" link.
It's a rough guide to expected price level at each listing, derived heuristically from the listing's data. The tiers are:
$ (Budget) — listings where you're likely to find at-or-near RRP pricing or active discount programs. Examples: chain retailers running multi-buy deals, online stores with frequent sales, supermarket convenience stock. Often the best place to grab booster packs and starter decks at "off the shelf" prices.
$$ (Standard) — most local game stores, most online specialists. Standard retail markup, with occasional sales and pre-order bundles. The mainstream tier — what you'd expect to pay walking into a typical card shop.
$$$ (Premium) — listings where pricing skews higher: PSA grading drop-off specialists, vintage/rare card vendors, sealed-case-volume retailers, premium event tickets, unique stock not easily found elsewhere. You're paying for scarcity, expertise, or exclusive product access.
The tier is indicative only — actual prices vary enormously by product, set, scarcity, and condition. Always confirm with the store before purchasing, especially for singles, sealed boxes, or graded cards.
You can tap a $/$$/$$$ tag on any listing to instantly filter the directory by that pricing tier — useful for budget hunts vs. premium collector trips.
Counterfeit cards are a real concern in Australia, particularly with unbranded vending machines and pop-up retail. CardMap cannot verify the authenticity of any product sold by any operator listed.
To reduce risk:
• Prefer vending machines from known brands like Pop Attack and Card Bot, which source from authorised distributors.
• Buy sealed product from authorised retailers — major chains, dedicated game stores, and established online retailers in this directory.
• Inspect cards for signs of counterfeit: poor print quality, wrong colour saturation, fuzzy text, incorrect cardstock thickness or "feel", missing or wrong holographic elements, misaligned print.
• Be sceptical of unusually low prices on rare or chase cards — if it seems too good to be true, it usually is.
• For high-value cards, prefer sellers offering authenticity guarantees or graded slabs from reputable services (PSA®, Beckett, CGC).
If you suspect counterfeit cards, report it to the operator, to the ACCC via scamwatch.gov.au, and to the publisher's anti-piracy team. You can also — we'll log it against the listing for moderation review. See the Terms of use for the full authenticity disclaimer.
OFFICIAL events are sanctioned by the game's publisher — Pokémon Company International, Wizards of the Coast, Bandai, Konami, Ravensburger (Lorcana), etc. These typically award Championship Points or qualifying credit toward higher-tier events (Regional Championships, World Championships, Flagship Battles), and prize support comes directly from the publisher. Examples: Pokémon Regional Championships, Friday Night Magic at WPN stores, Yu-Gi-Oh! OTS events.
COMMUNITY events are organised by stores, fans, or community groups independently of the publisher. These include casual drafts, trading nights, local meetups, expos, fairs, and shop-run leagues. They're often free or cheaper to enter, more relaxed, and a great entry point for new players or anyone who wants to play without competitive stakes.
Both are valuable — Official events for ranking and exclusive promo cards, Community events for socialising, learning, and finding your local scene. Tap any OFFICIAL or COMMUNITY tag on an event to filter by that kind.
Some listings (Woolworths, Coles, 7-Eleven, service stations, newsagents) aren't dedicated TCG stores but commonly stock Pokémon and other sealed product. Stock varies wildly between individual locations. Use these as a "while you're there" check, not a planned destination.
Tap the "Claim store" or "Claim event" button on any collapsed listing. You'll need to provide your business email (matching your store's domain), your role at the business, and your ABN. We verify each claim before granting access. Vending machine operators with multiple machines can request a single bulk claim — email hello@cardmap.com.au with your ABN and the list of machines to verify them all in one pass.
Retailer plans are still being finalised. The pricing shown in the claim form is indicative only and subject to change before launch. No payment is taken when you submit a claim — we'll discuss plan options after we've verified your business. When paid plans go live, billing will run through Stripe: monthly card payments in AUD, cancel anytime, automatic tax invoices. Free tier stays free permanently.
Use to add a new entry, or to flag inaccurate details. Both go to our moderation queue.
Saved listings, followed suburbs and CardHunt routes are stored locally on your device using browser localStorage. They don't sync between devices. If you clear your browser data, your follows will be lost. Submitted listings and claim requests are sent to the CardMap team for review.
CardMap is free for users. Ads and sponsored placements help cover the cost of hosting, moderation, and keeping listings current. We always label sponsored content clearly and never let advertisers dictate which businesses appear in organic search results.
Email us at hello@cardmap.com.au — we usually reply within 2 business days. You can also use the form if you'd rather not open your mail app.
Pick your country and region so the directory shows what's near you first. You can change this anytime.
Pick the games you care about — we'll follow them for you and highlight stores that stock them. Skip for everything.
CardMap's signature feature. Add stores to a CardHunt and it builds an optimised multi-stop route so you can hit several shops in one trip.
Tip: tap the CardMap pin logo anytime to open the live map view.
